Position Summary


We are in search of a skilled and enthusiastic National HVAC Operations Manager to take charge of the management and enhancement of HVAC systems throughout our extensive property portfolio nationwide.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert guidance in the management of HVAC systems across our entire portfolio, ensuring peak performance and durability.
  • Design and implement comprehensive HVAC strategies that effectively differentiate between repair and replacement needs.
  • Leverage data analytics to track trends and pinpoint opportunities for minimizing HVAC challenges, employing a holistic approach.
  • Conduct site visits to assess the necessity for significant HVAC projects, ensuring alignment with corporate goals.
  • Draft specifications, scopes of work, budgets, and oversee design efforts, including precise code evaluations for HVAC initiatives.
  • Comprehend jurisdictional requirements and apply expedited techniques to secure project approvals efficiently.
  • Integrate value engineering concepts and explore alternative solutions for HVAC projects to enhance performance and cost-efficiency.
  • Identify and evaluate vendors/consultants, negotiate proposals, and supervise project management from inception to completion.
  • Plan, monitor, and manage HVAC projects, ensuring compliance with timelines and financial plans.
  • Establish and document standardized procedures for HVAC system management.
  • Foster and maintain strategic partnerships with vendors, consultants, and manufacturers within the HVAC sector.
  • Research, assess, and recommend HVAC products and specifications, aligning with our commitment to quality and cost-effectiveness.
  • Oversee vendor performance, including execution quality and pricing, to guarantee service excellence.
  • Provide emergency response support for HVAC-related issues as necessary.
  • Assist with due diligence for acquisitions concerning HVAC systems and facilitate the transition of new properties from construction to operational status.
  • Maintain proactive communication with managers and team members to ensure alignment and transparency in HVAC-related initiatives.
  • Manage the national HVAC repair and maintenance program, optimizing operational efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience in HVAC systems management, including 5+ years in consulting roles.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction, Engineering, or a related field preferred; or equivalent direct experience.
  • Ability to perform essential job functions with or without accommodations.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of engaging effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficient in interpreting construction drawings and specifications.
  • Extensive knowledge of various HVAC systems, materials, and construction processes, with the ability to assess installation quality.
  • Understanding of budgeting principles and their implications for HVAC projects.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities with the ability to collaborate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Willingness and ability to travel as required to fulfill job responsibilities.
