Position Summary

As the National HVAC Trade Manager at Public Storage, you will benefit from a stable office-based role with minimal travel requirements. What We Offer:
  • Competitive Compensation: Total compensation ranging from $150,000 to $185,000.

Your Contributions:
  • Oversee HVAC management across our entire portfolio, ensuring optimal functionality and durability.
  • Design and execute HVAC programs to assess asset repair versus replacement needs.
  • Utilize data analytics to track trends and mitigate HVAC issues.
  • Conduct site visits to validate significant HVAC projects.
  • Develop specifications, scopes of work, budgets, and supervise design activities.
  • Ensure adherence to jurisdictional regulations and expedite project approvals.
  • Apply value engineering principles to enhance performance and cost efficiency.
  • Identify and qualify vendors, negotiate contracts, and manage projects from inception to completion.
  • Standardize processes and procedures for HVAC system management.
  • Foster strategic partnerships with vendors, consultants, and manufacturers.
  • Research and recommend HVAC products and specifications.
  • Monitor vendor performance to guarantee service excellence.
  • Provide emergency response support for HVAC-related issues.
  • Assist with acquisition due diligence and facilitate property transitions.
  • Maintain proactive communication with managers and team members.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 10 years in HVAC systems management, including at least 5 years in consulting roles.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction, Engineering, or related fields is preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of HVAC systems, materials, and construction processes.
  • Understanding of budgeting principles related to HVAC projects.
  • Proven leadership and collaboration abilities.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary.
