Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Youth Sports Coach to join our team at the YMCA of Greater Seattle. As a Youth Sports Coach, you will be responsible for leading and instructing a variety of sports, recreation, wellness, and enrichment programs for youth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Instruct and lead sports and recreation programs for youth, creating a safe and inclusive environment that welcomes participants of all skill and ability levels.
  • Develop and implement engaging and interactive program activities that promote physical activity, teamwork, and social skills.
  • Provide excellent customer service and ensure a positive experience for participants and their families.
  • Collaborate with program staff and other stakeholders to ensure program quality and effectiveness.
  • Assist with program development, planning, and evaluation, as needed.
Requirements
  • At least 18 years of age or older.
  • 6 months or more previous experience working with children, preferably in a sports or recreation setting.
  • Current state-approved first-aid certification.
  • Current state-approved community CPR certification.
  • Knowledge of culturally relevant and developmentally appropriate practices.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of, and previous experience with, diverse populations (language, culture, race, physical ability, sexual orientation, etc.).
  • Ability to speak any language in addition to English may be helpful.
