Key Responsibilities:
As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for:
  • Preparing monthly financial reports for various clients in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Providing support in budgeting, taxation, auditing, and cash management.

Principal Duties:

Your main duties will include:

  • Generating comprehensive monthly financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Reconciling accounts to ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Collaborating with client facilities to streamline the documentation process for financial statement preparation.
  • Reviewing source documents and journals to ensure the integrity of financial data.
  • Creating journal entries and explanations for adjustments, along with data entry tasks.
  • Conducting cash reconciliations and other financial reconciliations as necessary.
  • Communicating financial results and budget discrepancies with client facilities.
  • Assisting in financial audits and tax preparations.
  • Participating in budget preparation and monitoring.
  • Providing support to the Finance and Consulting Teams.
  • Assisting with special audits and projects as directed by the Vice President of Financial Services.
  • Maintaining compliance with ethical standards and confidentiality regulations.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Experience in financial statement preparation.
  • Recent public accounting experience and an active CPA license are advantageous.
  • Knowledge of healthcare accounting, particularly Medicare and Medicaid regulations, is preferred.
