About the Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Kitchen Operations Manager to join our team at The Fresh Market. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of food quality, safety, and customer satisfaction in our kitchen operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and Manage Kitchen Operations: Direct, manage, and assist all functions of the kitchen, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
  • Ensure Food Safety and Quality: Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to all food safety protocols and regulations.
  • Manage Inventory and Supplies: Oversee the receipt, storage, and rotation of ingredients and supplies, ensuring optimal inventory levels and minimizing waste.
  • Develop and Implement Menu Plans: Collaborate with the culinary team to create and implement menu plans that meet customer demands and drive sales growth.
  • Train and Develop Team Members: Provide guidance, coaching, and training to kitchen staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles.
  • Monitor and Analyze Performance: Track key performance indicators, such as sales, customer satisfaction, and food safety metrics, to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
Requirements
  • 3+ Years of Experience: Proven experience in a kitchen management or leadership role, preferably in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with team members, management, and customers.
  • Culinary Knowledge and Skills: In-depth knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen operations, with a passion for delivering high-quality food products.
  • Leadership and Team Management: Proven ability to lead and manage a team, with a focus on developing and motivating team members to achieve exceptional results.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Culinary Degree or Certification: Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts, Food Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience and certifications.
  • Production Planning Software Experience: Familiarity with production planning software and systems, with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
