About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at Emerson. As a key member of our quality team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality in our products and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide timely nonconformance data to suppliers for rejected products.
  • Support suppliers in problem-solving and root cause analysis to eliminate recurrences of non-conformances.
  • Act as a liaison between suppliers and internal teams to resolve quality-related issues.
  • Participate in daily Material Review Board (MRB) meetings to review non-conformances and identify appropriate dispositions.
  • Assist the Quality Assurance department in correcting supplier documentation errors and resolving recurring issues.
  • Handle and monitor Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCARS).
  • Ensure effective implementation of supplier corrective and preventative actions to address quality deficiencies.
  • Conduct periodic supplier audits and performance assessments.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing and Engineering to address supplier-identified issues related to Design, Manufacturability, or Quality Requirements.
  • Drive continual improvement initiatives and maintain positive working relationships with vendors.
  • Prepare and submit monthly reports.
  • Work with credit and debit memos.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering or Supplier Quality Engineering, preferably in an Engineered-to-Order facility.
  • Experience with materials, manufacturing technologies, and manufacturing processes such as forging, casting, and machining.
  • Excellent data analysis and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to facilitate work with multi-functional groups to achieve results.
  • Up to 30% travel required.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of ASME Section III Nuclear and Navy Mil-Spec.
