Position Summary:

The Finance Analyst will report directly to the CFO and will play a crucial role in delivering business analysis and financial expertise for NEXDINE and its affiliated company, XENDELLA. This role offers significant exposure to senior management and operational leadership, providing essential financial insights and analyses in both written and presentation formats. The ideal candidate will possess a robust analytical background, capable of evaluating and consolidating financial results for leadership reporting. Additionally, the candidate should be a proactive self-starter, demonstrating sound judgment and adaptability in decision-making and problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Examine historical and current financial data to assess the company's financial health.
  • Evaluate capital initiatives to ensure they align with the company's return expectations.
  • Develop predictive financial models to assist in organizational decision-making regarding investment capital, working capital, and overhead allocations.
  • Create and manage financial models that forecast business outcomes and profitability.
  • Analyze processes and expenditures to identify opportunities for enhancing profit margins.
  • Establish benchmarks for financial processes across all business areas, including retail and subsidy revenue, labor, food, and direct expenses.
  • Monitor current financial data to notify leadership and operations of significant variances.
  • Prepare written reports and presentations that empower management teams to make strategic decisions aligned with business objectives.
  • Track and analyze startup costs for new and expanding ventures.
  • Develop forecasting tools to streamline financial data analysis.
  • Research industry-specific business trends and data.
  • Assist the CFO in assessing acquisition opportunities and conducting due diligence during the acquisition process.
  • Engage in various special projects and compile diverse reports as needed.
  • May undertake additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Work Environment:

This position operates within a professional office setting, utilizing standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and other office tools.

Physical Requirements:

The physical demands outlined here represent those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this role. The employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, use hands for handling or feeling, and reach with hands and arms. This position necessitates auditory and visual skills, along with the ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures.

Travel Requirements:

Travel is primarily local during business hours, although some out-of-area and overnight travel may be anticipated.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Finance; an MBA is a plus.
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience in financial analysis support.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with senior management, operational, and sales leadership, as well as finance and accounting teams.
  • Experience with the Workday Enterprise Management system is required.
  • Familiarity with the Great Plains general ledger system is advantageous.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills are essential.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel is required.
