About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Operations Officer to join our team at Arize Federal Credit Union. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the operational functions that support our sales and service goals and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement operational procedures to maximize effectiveness and quality of work, ensuring consistent quality service to members throughout the entire branch network.
  • Identify opportunities where digital solutions can support business initiatives and work with organization leaders to define digital-dependent outcomes.
  • Collaborate with Senior Management to identify trends in the industry, institute new programs or products, and evaluate products and services.
  • Work with credit union's key system vendors and partners to ensure the credit union is maximizing all available tools and resources to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Review and implement features included in periodic software updates and other recommendations from vendors and partners.
  • Support requirements and plans for all technology and operational needs of the credit union.
  • Work with BSA and Compliance officer to ensure the credit union maintains compliance with federal laws and regulations.
  • Serve as the Operations lead for AffirmX audits.
  • Develop strategic plans in relation to operational effectiveness and the overall strategic goals of the credit union.
  • Participate in the Operations Council and serve as the functional liaison between the credit union and affiliated CUSOs to improve operational effectiveness.
  • Hire, direct, recommend promotions, transfers, salary adjustments, and evaluate employee performance for direct reports.
  • Work with auditors and examiners on annual and comprehensive audits.
  • Assist in development and implementation of strategic plan.
  • Establish consistent branch training program and direct training functions to ensure branch staff have the skills necessary to provide highest quality service to members.
Requirements
  • 10 years of similar or related experience
  • Trustworthy and works with High Integrity
  • Motivating or influencing others is a material part of the job.
  • Excellent Communication Skills
  • Thorough knowledge of credit union deposit, loan, and transactional products and applicable policies and standards.
  • A bachelor's degree, or achievement of formal certifications recognized in the industry as equivalent to a bachelor's degree.
