Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist healthcare providers in a fast-paced family practice environment, utilizing outstanding customer service skills.
  • Prioritize tasks effectively while maintaining attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
  • Room patients and perform essential tasks such as recording vital signs and medical histories.
  • Conduct electronic charting accurately and efficiently.
  • Provide patient instructions as directed by the healthcare provider.
  • Perform in-house laboratory tests including hemoglobin, strep, flu, lead, and immunizations.
  • Conduct hearing and vision screenings.
  • Ensure all relevant reports and lab results are organized and accessible in patient records prior to appointments.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in patient and waiting areas.
  • Communicate results or messages from providers to patients via phone.
  • Keep logs and perform required checks diligently.
  • Pediatric experience is preferred.

Qualifications:
  • Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant Program/Certification is required.
  • 1-3 years of experience as a Pediatric Medical Assistant in a medical office is preferred.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish or Hakha/Burmese is essential.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Experience with EMR systems and vital signs is preferred.
Work Environment:
  • Clinic setting with in-person interactions.
  • Availability to commute or relocate as necessary.
