Job Summary

The System Director, Compensation is a key member of the Human Resources team at CHRISTUS Health, responsible for designing and administering non-executive and non-physician compensation programs. This role requires a strategic thinker who can develop and implement compensation strategies, models, and programs that align with the organization's goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement compensation strategies, models, and programs that are market-competitive and aligned with CHRISTUS Health's compensation philosophy.
  • Collaborate with the benefits team to ensure total rewards programs are effective and well-understood by HR Leadership and Executives.
  • Manage all compensation issues, including incentive pay, shift differentials, and sign-on and retention bonuses.
  • Develop and maintain policies and best practices related to compensation and benefits.
  • Monitor industry trends and ensure compensation models and practices are compliant with applicable state and federal laws and regulations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Business, Economics, Health Administration, Math, Statistics, or related fields.
  • At least five years of healthcare experience, including experience in designing and implementing compensation models and the effective use of incentive pay.
  • At least five years of leadership experience.
  • Experience implementing strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Experience with market-based compensation structures.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's in Business Administration, Health Administration, or related discipline.
  • SPHR, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SHRM-CP certification.
  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) certification.
