Position Overview
Sony AI is on the lookout for talented Vision Research Specialists to join our innovative team focused on Privacy-Preserving Machine Learning (PPML). Our primary goal is to advance fundamental and applied research in privacy and security, particularly in the development of vision foundation models that prioritize trustworthiness.

Key Responsibilities
- Engage in groundbreaking research related to large vision foundation models, encompassing architecture and methodology design.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy foundational models effectively, addressing challenges faced by business partners.
- Identify high-impact opportunities within the Imaging & Sensing sector to launch solutions that drive long-term business growth.
- Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of large vision foundation model development and various computer vision applications, including image classification, object detection, pose detection, and semantic image segmentation.
- Publish significant research findings and present at leading conferences and journals.

Qualifications
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:
- Relevant experience in vision foundation model and computer vision research.
- A PhD or equivalent experience in fields such as Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or Data Science.
- Proven track record of publications or hands-on experience in large vision foundation model development, computer vision, data synthesis, knowledge distillation, and distributed systems.
- Strong programming skills in Python, with familiarity in frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities, with a collaborative mindset.
