Position Overview:

The Clinical Supervisor for Social Skills is tasked with the development and execution of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) programs, ensuring adherence to clinical standards within the Verbal Beginnings community. This role involves close collaboration with the Social Beginnings Program Director to align with the organization's core values and strategic objectives.

About the Program:

Social Beginnings provides ABA-focused social skills groups after school throughout the academic year. Participants engage in small group settings, utilizing a structured curriculum based on ABA principles. Activities include group instruction, structured play to reinforce newly acquired skills, and guided free play to encourage the application of these skills in natural settings.

Compensation and Work Schedule:

  • Compensation: $95.00 per hour
  • Supervision Opportunities: Potential for up to an additional $8,000 annually
  • Schedule: Part-Time, Monday-Thursday from 4:30 PM to 7:30 PM. Flexibility is available for BCBAs to choose a 2-day or 4-day schedule during the school year, with additional hours possible for those interested in home-based clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a safe and positive environment for clients at all times.
  • Deliver direct, supervisory, and consultative ABA services to assigned clients.
  • Oversee all aspects of clients' ABA programs, including:
    • Conducting initial and ongoing assessments of skills and deficits, ensuring timely completion of assessments and reports.
    • Developing and implementing appropriate programming as per the client's Treatment Plan.
    • Analyzing and monitoring program data and client progress.
    • Providing training and ongoing supervision to ABATs and RBTs, ensuring effective communication with team members.
    • Coordinating with caregivers and other service providers, maintaining regular communication.
  • Ensure the effectiveness and appropriateness of assigned clients' programs.
  • Document services rendered, including session dates, times, and descriptions of services provided.
  • Participate in training and supervision meetings with management.
  • Adhere to company and BACB guidelines consistently.

Program Functions:

  • Conduct group screenings to assess therapeutic fit and clinical dosage of services.
  • Develop and maintain the social curriculum for the after-school program.
  • Provide supervisory services for the after-school program.
  • Train and oversee staff during social skills groups.
  • Assist management with assessments and reports related to social skills treatment.
  • Collaborate with clinical and field teams as necessary for tailored client programming.

Qualifications:

  • A Master's Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis or a related field is required.
  • Must hold a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification.
  • Experience in developing and implementing ABA-based social skills programs is preferred.
  • Experience supervising RBTs in the implementation of ABA treatment programs.
  • Completion of BCBA supervision training is necessary.
  • Current state license in Maryland is required or in the process of obtaining it.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience working with children with developmental disabilities.
  • Experience in addressing behavioral issues in children.
  • Experience in conducting family training on ABA treatment plans.
  • Strong communication skills and a passion for collaboration are essential.
