Position Overview:
The Clinical Supervisor for Social Skills is tasked with the design and execution of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) programs while overseeing specific cases within the Verbal Beginnings community, adhering to clinical standards. This role requires a deep understanding of the core values and strategic objectives of Verbal Beginnings. The Clinical Supervisor will collaborate closely with the Program Director.
About the Program:
Social Beginnings provides ABA-based social skills groups during after-school hours throughout the academic year. Children engage in small groups, participating in structured activities that utilize a social skills curriculum grounded in ABA principles. The curriculum includes group instruction, structured play to practice newly acquired skills, and guided free play to encourage the application of these skills in natural settings.

Compensation and Work Schedule:
- Compensation: $95.00 per hour
- Paid BACB Supervision Opportunities: Up to an additional $8,000 per year
- Schedule: Part-Time, Monday-Thursday from 4:30 PM to 7:30 PM. BCBAs can choose a 2-day or 4-day schedule during the school year, with flexibility available. Additional family training sessions (up to 10 billable hours/month) may be required, with opportunities for more hours if interested in taking on additional home-based clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure a safe and supportive environment for clients at all times.
- Deliver the appropriate level of direct, supervisory, and consultative ABA services to assigned clients.
- Manage all aspects of assigned clients' ABA programs, including:
- Conducting initial and ongoing assessments of skills and deficits, ensuring timely completion of assessments and reports.
- Developing and implementing tailored programming in accordance with the client's Treatment Plan.
- Analyzing and monitoring program data and client progress.
- Training and providing ongoing clinical and administrative supervision to ABATs and RBTs working with assigned clients, ensuring regular communication.
- Coordinating with caregivers and other service providers, maintaining regular communication with clients' families.
- Ensure the effectiveness and appropriateness of assigned clients' programs.
- Document billed services accurately, maintaining records of session dates, times, descriptions of services provided, and any additional required documentation.
- Participate in training and supervision meetings with management.
- Adhere to Company and BACB guidelines consistently.
Program Functions:
- Conduct group screenings to determine therapeutic fit and clinical dosage of services.
- Develop and maintain the social curriculum for the after-school program.
- Provide supervisory services for the after-school program.
- Train and oversee staff during social skills groups.
- Assist management with assessments and reports related to social skills treatment.
- Collaborate with clinical and field teams as necessary for specific client programming.
Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis or a related field.
- Must hold Board Certification as a Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
- Preferred experience in developing ABA-based social skills programs.
- Experience supervising RBTs in the implementation of ABA treatment programs.
- Completion of BCBA supervision training.
- Current state license in Maryland or in the process of obtaining it.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working with children with developmental disabilities.
- Experience addressing behavioral issues in children.
- Experience in conducting family training on ABA treatment plans.
- Strong communication skills and enthusiasm for collaboration.
