Exempt Position
Hatchet Hall is on the lookout for a skilled Floor/Service Manager to enhance our dynamic team. We are seeking a candidate with at least 2 years of leadership experience in upscale dining and/or high-volume casual fine dining establishments.
Key Qualifications:
- Familiarity with California labor regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Competence in basic POS systems, along with a comprehensive understanding of restaurant operations.
- Recognize that effective employee management is rooted in support and guidance rather than micromanagement.
Work Schedule:
- The selected candidate will be scheduled for 5 shifts weekly, incorporating a blend of opening and closing shifts based on operational requirements.
- In case of an emergency, the candidate should be prepared to assist in service as a server.
Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct training for new front-of-house staff and provide ongoing training after hiring.
- Manage monthly inventory and cost of goods sold.
- Oversee the opening and closing procedures of the restaurant.
- Assist with private dining events, ensuring staff are trained and any service-related feedback is documented post-event.
- Supervise operations at Hatchet Hall while also being available to support Old Man Bar during urgent situations.
- Maintain knowledge of essential operational systems at OMB, including cash handling, end-of-day procedures, and menu management.
Essential Skills:
- The ideal candidate should demonstrate outstanding communication and leadership abilities, thrive under pressure, and uphold high service standards.
- Knowledge of bartending and spirits will be advantageous and highly regarded for this role.
