About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Warehouse Operations Manager to oversee all aspects of warehouse operations for ASTRO FOOD SERVICE. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring efficient processes and maximizing productivity within the warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Manage and supervise warehouse staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations
  2. Implement and maintain warehouse management systems to optimize inventory control and tracking
  3. Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  4. Oversee fleet management activities, including vehicle maintenance and scheduling
  5. Utilize continuous improvement strategies to streamline warehouse operations
  6. Collaborate with third-party logistics providers (3PLs) to enhance overall supply chain efficiency
  7. Monitor materials management processes to minimize waste and reduce costs
  8. Lead dispatching operations to ensure timely delivery of goods to customers

Requirements

  1. Proven experience in warehouse management, with a strong understanding of shipping/receiving procedures
  2. Proficiency in operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment
  3. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) for inventory control
  4. Knowledge of operations management principles to optimize workflow efficiency
  5. Experience in fleet management and logistics coordination is a plus
  6. Ability to implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance warehouse performance

Working Conditions

This is a full-time position that requires working night shifts. The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to work independently and as part of a team. A driver's license is required for this role.
