Part-time Therapeutic Riding Educator

As a member of our team, you will collaborate with other members of the therapeutic riding center to provide exceptional instruction and care to students with disabilities.
Key Responsibilities- Teach horseback riding lessons to students in the therapeutic riding center, maintaining an active group of 10-15 lessons per week during the program's active session.
- Develop and submit lesson plans for each student, ensuring a tailored and engaging experience.
- Work closely with the Volunteer Coordinator to teach volunteers horsemanship skills, promoting a culture of teamwork and knowledge sharing.
- Assist in planning and organizing center horse shows, showcasing the skills and progress of our students.
- Procure and train program horses, ensuring their suitability for lessons and the well-being of our students.
- Attend required staff meetings and training sessions, staying up-to-date on best practices and industry developments.
- Perform other duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success of the Franklin County 4-H Therapeutic Riding Center.
- PATH or PACTH Registered certification is strongly preferred; progress in a recognized program leading to such certification is acceptable.
- Previous experience teaching horseback riding and/or driving lessons is preferred.
- Previous experience working with people with disabilities is preferred.
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle as part of job duties, with a valid US driver's license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check required.
