Job Title: Compliance Investigator

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Compliance Investigator to join our team at the Georgia Department of Labor. As a Compliance Investigator, you will be responsible for reviewing Unemployment Insurance Identify Verification and ID Theft cases, gathering pertinent documents and evidence, and assisting in preparing cases for overpayment establishment, civil action, and criminal prosecution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and analyze Unemployment Insurance Identify Verification and ID Theft cases
  • Gather and document pertinent information and evidence
  • Assist in preparing cases for overpayment establishment, civil action, and criminal prosecution
  • Process required department, state, and federal reports
  • Provide customer service to internal and external customers
  • Respond to customer inquiries and correspondence

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university
  • Two years of professional investigative experience with a state, federal, or local governmental entity
  • Four or more years' experience processing and/or adjudicating claims/rendering overpayment determinations
  • Ability to use proper and effective investigative and interview techniques
  • Experience generating and managing high-volume, detailed work, requiring critical thinking skills
  • Ability to use proper spelling, grammar, and punctuation in reports
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office suite
