Position Overview:

The Office Operations Coordinator in the Office of Inspector General (OIG) at the U.S. Development Finance Corporation (DFC) plays a crucial role in facilitating the business functions of OIG's senior management and enhancing outreach initiatives with both internal and external stakeholders. The OIG is dedicated to safeguarding the integrity of DFC's programs and operations while providing independent oversight to foster efficiency, effectiveness, and integrity, ultimately preventing and detecting fraud, waste, and abuse.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Inspector General (IG) and OIG senior leadership in assessing, analyzing, and enhancing the efficiency of internal administrative operations and management of programs.
  • Support the IG and OIG senior leadership in the planning and evaluation of the effectiveness of operational programs.
  • Provide authoritative guidance on the coordination and integration of staff actions, events, and activities related to OIG.
  • Act as the Records Liaison Officer, ensuring proper management of business files in compliance with federal records management requirements.
  • Ensure timely logging and response to correspondences and inquiries directed to the OIG.
  • Coordinate meetings, conference calls, and travel logistics not covered by the DFC Travel Office.
  • Respond to inquiries from DFC staff, foreign government representatives, private industry, other federal agencies, congressional staff, and the public, including Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) and Privacy Act requests.

Travel Requirements:

Occasional travel may be required for this position.

Supervisory Status: No

Promotion Potential: GS-13

Qualifications:

Conditions of Employment:

Eligibility Requirements:

Experience Requirements:

For GS-12: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level in federal service, demonstrating experience in:

  • Coordinating various procedural administrative actions based on priorities and program goals.
  • Reviewing and interpreting administrative processes and procedures.
  • Communicating complex information effectively with stakeholders.
  • Preparing professional reports using Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

For GS-13: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level in federal service, demonstrating experience in:

  • Developing and implementing administrative support policies and procedures.
  • Identifying areas for improvement and recommending solutions.
  • Preparing official correspondence for congressional inquiries and other stakeholders.
  • Managing federal records management processes.

Additional Information:

Familiarity with website and social media content management is highly desirable. Experience includes both paid and unpaid roles, such as volunteer work through National Service programs.
