Position Summary:
The primary objective of this role is to enhance the department's capacity to meet its targets and objectives. This encompasses executing CMM programming tasks to support ongoing machining processes and new product initiatives. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as necessary.

  1. Develop, validate, and troubleshoot Cartesian measuring machine programs, along with the necessary documentation for CMM operations.
  2. Engage with all relevant parties, including supervisors, engineers, and skilled trades, to fulfill customer and shop floor requirements.
  3. Assist in the advancement and optimization of measurement systems and programming efficiency in designated areas.
  4. Propose and implement programming best practices to enhance measurement systems within the manufacturing framework.
  5. Support and drive continuous improvement of lean measurement systems through effective programming and current measurement practices.
  6. Design appropriate work holdings for part inspections.
  7. Diagnose and resolve machine-related issues and challenges in the measurement process.
  8. Provide training to manufacturing and quality staff on CMM operations.
  9. Contribute to measurement development for new product designs and the ongoing enhancement of existing components.
  10. Adhere to all PAC policies and procedures.
  11. Demonstrate proficiency with CALYPSO software.

Physical Requirements:

  1. This role involves working in both laboratory and shop floor environments.
  2. Ability to navigate the facility and interact with associates in their work areas.
  3. Successful completion of scheduled eye examinations as per company procedures.
  4. Completion of a medical examination and drug screening is required prior to employment.

Qualifications:

  1. Preferred: Associate Degree in a manufacturing technology discipline or equivalent professional training and experience.
  2. 1-2 years of relevant experience in essential duties.
  3. Familiarity with CAD, CMM, Calypso, and Pro E.
  4. Capability to utilize standard measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
  5. Understanding of machine, tool, fixture, work-holding, and die design principles.
  6. Strong knowledge of blueprint interpretation, GD&T, setup, tooling, and fixture techniques.
  7. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  8. Eligibility to handle sensitive controlled data and materials in compliance with ITAR regulations.
