Key Qualifications
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in precision grinding.
  • Proficient in interpreting technical drawings and schematics.
  • Basic mathematical skills are essential.
  • Experience with measuring instruments is required.
  • Physical capability to bend, reach, and kneel as necessary.
  • Ability to lift items weighing up to 25 lbs.
Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Loading components into grinding machines and executing specific grinding tasks.
  • Calculating dimensions, angles, and measurements using tools such as micrometers and gauges, and adjusting equipment to achieve precise cuts.
  • Finishing the surfaces of components using designated machinery, grinding wheels, and hand tools.
  • Inspecting and measuring components to verify that they meet required specifications.
  • Monitoring machine functions to identify the need for adjustments and halting operations when issues arise.
  • Selecting and installing grinding wheels on machines based on specifications, utilizing hand tools and knowledge of abrasives.
  • Setting up and operating grinding or polishing machines to process metal parts and tools.
  • Reviewing technical drawings or layouts to determine grinding methods and plan machine setups and operational sequences.
