Job Title: Public Service Administrator

Join the Kansas State Department of Education team as a Public Service Administrator, providing project management coordination and administrative support to the program manager workgroup on the Career, Standards and Assessment Services team.

Job Summary:

The Public Service Administrator will be responsible for handling incoming requests for professional learning and management of training days and website events. This role requires strong project management skills, proficiency in basic website organization and management, and experience with MS Office programs and QuickBooks.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide project management coordination and administrative support to the program manager workgroup
  • Handle incoming requests for professional learning and management of training days and website events
  • Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and budgets
  • Coordinate with team members to ensure effective project execution
  • Provide administrative support to the program manager workgroup
Requirements:
  • Three years of experience in project management, clerical and administrative support work
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Proficient in basic website organization and management
  • Experience with MS Office programs and QuickBooks
  • Strong project management skills
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and be a self-initiator
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working in a fast-paced office environment
  • Experience working with multiple personality and work styles
  • Knowledge of business correspondence and effective business English
  • Ability to accurately complete detailed work
  • Ability to prioritize and organize work tasks
