Job Summary

We are looking for a Respite Care Coordinator to join our team at IEM International Inc. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting vulnerable populations, including migrants and asylum seekers.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the challenges faced by these individuals and be able to provide empathetic support while maintaining professional boundaries.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Connect guests with case management services and provide information to support medium-term planning and onward travel
  2. Assist guests in accessing acute healthcare needs and ensure they have access to trauma-informed language services
  3. Transport and guide shelter guests to/from partner organization locations, off-site appointments, and travel hubs
  4. Track client resettlement and stabilization exit plans and address related data reporting requirements
  5. Maintain a safe and clean environment for guests and ensure compliance with health and safety protocols

Requirements:

  • Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Three years' experience in providing direct care to vulnerable populations
  • Experience working in a residential setting
  • Ability and willingness to perform light housekeeping and lift up to 30 pounds

Compensation:

We offer a competitive hourly wage of $28.00 per hour, plus comprehensive benefits, including paid holidays, vacation pay, sick pay, and a 401(k) plan with matching.
