Practical Nurse in Clinical Setting

We are seeking an LPN with a passion for delivering high-quality patient care to join our Float Pool team at Covenant Health. This is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic, collaborative environment, where you can grow professionally and make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients.
Responsibilities
+ Provide professional clinical care to patients in an outpatient setting, working closely with the attending provider and practice office manager.
+ Conduct thorough patient assessments, taking vital signs and weight as needed.
+ Assist the provider with examinations, diagnostic procedures, and treatments, including phlebotomy, injections, suturing, and other office procedures.
+ Administer medications per provider order and policy, ensuring accurate dosages and documentation.
+ Train and orient new staff members as required, promoting a culture of teamwork and excellence.
+ Provide basic patient care as ordered, prioritizing patient comfort and safety.
+ Ensure timely receipt and relay of test results to patients, maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
+ Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues using AIDET fundamentals of communication.
+ Document all interventions, medication dispensed/prescribed, and patient/family responses in the medical record.
+ Promote wellness by providing patient education materials and communicating provider advice and instructions.
+ Triage patient phone calls and urgency of appointments, ensuring efficient use of time and resources.
+ Maintain a clean and sanitary work area, adhering to equipment maintenance and inventory management protocols.
+ Collaborate with the patient, physician, and care team members to deliver comprehensive patient care.
+ Follow policies, procedures, and safety standards, completing required education assignments annually.
Qualifications
- Licensed as an LPN in the state of Tennessee.
- American Heart Association BLS certification required.
- Minimum one year of experience as an LPN in a clinical setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records and relevant software applications.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines, maintaining a positive attitude and strong work ethic
