About the Role

The role of a Licensed Practical Nurse at US Oncology, Inc. allows you to assist in multiple areas of the clinic. You will float to several offices, including our Sweetwater, Jefferson City, and Newport locations.

You will be working closely with our RNs in the infusion area or with our providers to help maintain an efficient patient flow through the clinic.

This role requires assisting our registered infusion nurses and/or providers with administering patient care so they can focus more closely on the infusion portion of their position.

  • * Assist in patient care and support our registered infusion nurses and/or providers.
  • * Have experience with phlebotomy and administering injections.
  • * Provide excellent customer service by rolling out the red carpet to meet patients' needs and make them feel comfortable during a challenging time.

  • * Go-getter work ethic will have you ready to jump in and help out with any additional tasks.
Qualifications

To ensure patient safety, please note the following requirements:

  • This position will require standing and walking for extended periods of time.
  • Any lifting should be limited to 40 pounds or less.
  • You will need manual dexterity, proper hand-eye coordination, full range of motion to possibly assist with lifting patients, and corrected vision and hearing to normal range.

We also expect the following qualifications:

  • The completion of an accredited practical nursing program.
  • Tennessee State Practical Nursing licensure.
  • Your current BLS certification upon hire.
  • At least three years of practical nursing experience, preferably in oncology, hematology, urology, or similar specialties.
