Overview

Covenant Health, a leading healthcare provider in East Tennessee, is seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse to join its Float Pool team. This exciting opportunity offers the chance to work in a dynamic and diverse clinical setting, providing high-quality care to patients across various specialties.

As a Licensed Practical Nurse - Clinic, you will be responsible for delivering professional clinical care to patients receiving treatments and examinations in an outpatient clinical setting under the supervision of attending providers and practice office managers.

Responsibilities

  • Assess patient's general condition and take vital signs and weight.
  • Assist provider with examinations, diagnostic procedures, and treatments.
  • Administer patient medications per provider order and policy.
  • Orient, instruct, and train assigned personnel as applicable.
  • Provide basic patient care as ordered.
  • Relay test results to patients in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrate sensitivity to patient comfort and privacy.
  • Document interventions, patient responses, medication dispensed, etc., in the medical record.
  • Promote wellness by providing patient education materials and communicating provider advice.
  • Triage patient phone calls and appointments.
  • Ensure adequate stock of supplies and equipment maintenance.
  • Maintain accuracy of recording on patient medical records.

Requirements

  • Must be licensed as an LPN in the state of Tennessee.
  • American Heart Association BLS certification required.

Estimated Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
