Position Overview

The Emergency Services Nursing Manager is responsible for overseeing the nursing operations within the Emergency Department. This role involves coordinating and assessing the quality of nursing care delivered in this critical area.

Work Schedule: Full-time position with no weekend shifts.

Compensation and Benefits: Sign-on and relocation assistance may be available based on individual circumstances.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise nursing staff and ensure efficient and safe patient care delivery.
  • Implement and monitor Performance Improvement initiatives and hospital policies.
  • Manage financial aspects of the department in collaboration with the Administrative Department Director.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Texas or a compact license.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required.
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA or ARC.
  • PALS or Eis NPC certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment; TNCC certification within 18 months.
  • Advanced specialty certification such as CEN is preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years of clinical experience, including 2 years in a management role within an acute care environment.
