Job Summary

We are seeking highly qualified adjunct instructors to teach courses in emergency management and disaster science. The successful candidate will have a master's degree in emergency management, disaster science, or a closely related field, and five years of professional experience in emergency management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach courses in emergency management and disaster science, including Introduction to Emergency Management, Public Health and Disasters, Federal Government and Disasters, Continuity Planning for Crises, Hazardous Materials, and Private Sector Issues.
  • Develop and implement course materials, including syllabi, lesson plans, and assessments.
  • Assess student learning and provide feedback.
  • Participate in departmental and university service, including committee work and professional development.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in emergency management, disaster science, or a closely related field.
  • Five years of professional experience in emergency management.
  • Previous teaching experience at the university level is preferred.
