Position Overview

The Emergency Services Nursing Manager is responsible for overseeing the nursing operations within the Emergency Department. This role is pivotal in ensuring that high-quality patient care is delivered efficiently and safely.

Work Schedule: Full-time role with no weekend shifts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate nursing activities in the Emergency Department.
  • Evaluate the quality of care provided and implement necessary improvements.
  • Manage departmental operations to ensure compliance with hospital policies and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Oversee financial management in collaboration with the Administrative Department Director.

Qualifications Required

  • Possession of a valid Texas State RN license or a compact license.
  • A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required.
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA or ARC are mandatory.
  • PALS or equivalent certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment; TNCC certification is required within 18 months.
  • Advanced specialty certification, such as CEN, is encouraged.
  • A minimum of three years of clinical experience, including two years in a management role within an acute care environment.
