Support Specialist-Patient Experience Coordinator

Job Summary

This role is responsible for providing exceptional patient experience support to callers, patients, and staff. The Support Specialist will utilize their excellent communication skills to answer incoming calls, provide general information, and accurately route callers to the appropriate location.

Key Responsibilities
  • Answer and route incoming phone calls efficiently and professionally.
  • Provide general information to callers, including location of physician offices and upcoming classes.
  • Assist patients with payments and questions on accounts.
  • Work with billers to post to accounts and assist with refunds.
  • Perform miscellaneous work tasks to resolve accounts.
  • Utilize computer programs, such as Microsoft Word and Excel, to complete tasks.
  • Maintain a professional work environment and adapt to situations appropriately.
  • Establish and apply problem-solving skills and create a positive team environment.
  • Establish open communication with director, employees, and patients.
  • Attend meetings and maintain a departmental climate of openness and fairness.
Requirements
  • GED or High School Diploma preferred.
  • Customer service experience preferred.
  • Basic computer knowledge, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English Language.
Work Environment

Hours will be dependent on patient census and workload. Ability and willingness to work a flexible schedule, including after-hours and weekends as necessary.
