About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Mental Health Specialist to join our team at the Norfolk Regional Center. As a Mental Health Specialist, you will play a vital role in the care and treatment of patients with mental illnesses and personality disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct care services to patients, including supervision, therapeutic interactions, and facilitation of psycho-educational group activities.
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living and ensure their safety and well-being.
  • Document patient behaviors and efforts, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Transport patients using a state car, as needed.
Requirements
  • Be at least 19 years of age to work with adult client populations.
  • Have one or more years of education or experience in human services or a related field.
  • Have experience working with a diverse population, including those with mental illnesses and personality disorders.
  • Have a valid driver's license.
