We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Support Specialist to join our Family Medicine Clinic team. As a key member of our administrative staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support to our healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities- Welcome patients and visitors to the medical office, answering inquiries and directing them to the correct staff member.
- Manage patient registration, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information is maintained.
- Schedule appointments, reminders, and meetings with providers and patients.
- Process payments, collect copays, and balance petty cash.
- Order office supplies, maintain inventory, and ensure a clean and organized workspace.
- Prepare and mail medical records, lab reports, and other correspondence.
- Release medical records with signed authorization and maintain confidentiality of patient information.
- Perform scribe duties for providers, documenting in electronic medical records and transcribing dictation.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; associate degree preferred.
- Previous clinical or healthcare experience preferred.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
- Proficiency in computer software, including electronic medical records and office management systems.
