Position Overview

To empower our operations, Energy Transfer leverages advanced digital technologies, including SAP S/4 HANA. The company utilizes various SAP-related technologies to address real-time business and regulatory requirements. As a member of Energy Transfer, you will gain exposure to evolving industry 4.0 technologies aimed at enhancing productivity, efficiency, and flexibility.

The SAP FICO - AP/AR/GL/TR/FSCM role primarily focuses on supporting the SAP S4 Finance modules for users, requiring extensive expertise in SAP FICO areas such as NewGL, TRM, and FSCM. Familiarity with other modules like SD, MM, and PP, along with their corresponding business processes and project implementation, is essential. The candidate will employ analytical skills, business acumen, and technical knowledge to implement effective solutions and provide support services to end users. Additional responsibilities include overseeing the development and maintenance of system documentation, procedures, and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a key member of the configuration team responsible for the functional design, configuration, and validation of the SAP solution supporting Finance in AP, AR, New GL, Treasury, and Cash Management.
  • Collaborate on enterprise solutions and address legacy innovation challenges.
  • Complete a comprehensive solution by identifying functional design gaps and proposing enhancements to the system.
  • Conduct training sessions for users as needed.
  • Ensure adherence to support and new development documentation protocols (i.e., scope, design, test plans, issues and cutover lists, project plans).
  • Exhibit strong teamwork skills with effective oral and written communication.
  • Facilitate the issue resolution process by monitoring the status of ongoing issues.
  • Engage proactively with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and challenges.
  • Assess and align SAP solutions to address business needs.
  • Maintain oversight of deliverables to meet committed service level agreements.
  • Foster continuous communication and collaboration to achieve optimal results.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

To excel in this role, candidates must successfully fulfill each essential job duty. The qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 8+ years of relevant experience.
  • Functional/technical proficiency with at least 3+ full life cycle SAP implementations and 8+ years of industry and/or consulting experience in SAP FICO.
  • Strong functional analyst with hands-on experience in SAP FI/CO, including extensive knowledge of SAP GL, AP, AR, Treasury, and Cash Management.
  • Experience with Master Data, WBS, etc.
  • Familiarity with reporting tools such as Fiori, SAC, and Analysis for Office.
  • Experience with automated payment programs, virtual credit card payments, and bank interfaces.
  • Knowledge in S4HANA Finance and Vendor Invoice Management.
  • Experience in defining systems strategy, developing requirements, designing and prototyping, testing, training, defining support procedures, and implementing practical business solutions under tight deadlines.
  • Strong project management, configuration, and design skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to excellence and building expertise.
  • Familiarity with SDLC processes such as Agile and Waterfall.
  • Strong tracking, coordination, and project planning abilities.
  • Able to adhere to change management procedures and internal guidelines.
  • Demonstrated initiative and ability to work under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards.

Experience Requirements by Job Level:

  • The Senior IT Specialist level requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and 5-8 years of relevant job-related experience.
  • The Lead IT Specialist level requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and 8+ years of relevant job-related experience.
  • The Principal IT Specialist level requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and 10+ years of relevant job-related experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in the Midstream Oil & Gas industry is advantageous.
  • SAP Certification is a plus.
Work Environment:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

  • Typical office working conditions.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
  • Occasional overnight travel may be required.
  • This position is onsite.
