Intertek is seeking a dedicated EMS/OHS/QMS/R2 and e-Stewards Auditor to enhance our Business Assurance team. This role presents an exceptional opportunity to advance a diverse career in Management Systems.

Position Requirements:
This is a travel-intensive role, necessitating frequent visits to client locations. Candidates should be prepared for travel commitments of 3 to 5 nights weekly.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Adhere to Intertek's Compliance Code, Policies, and Procedures.
  • Act as a representative of the audit team and Intertek to clients.
  • Develop and implement Audit Plans.
  • Coordinate travel arrangements for audits as necessary.
  • Assess clients' management systems through documentation review, on-site evaluations, and interviews.
  • Identify and document areas of compliance and non-compliance.
  • Prepare detailed reports and recommendations based on audit results.
  • Review and approve client corrective actions.
  • Timely submission of time and expense reports for approval.
  • Provide training and mentorship to audit team members as needed.
Qualifications for Success:
  • Educational background and advanced training in environmental, safety, and quality management.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Understanding of manufacturing systems principles and practices.
  • Familiarity with EMS/OHS regulations and standards.
  • Knowledge of R2 (Responsible Recycling for Electronic Recyclers) and e-Stewards Standards.
  • Experience in implementing and/or auditing ISO management systems.
  • Willingness to travel extensively, approximately 90% of the time.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and a clean driving record is mandatory.
  • Completion of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, or ISO 45001 Lead Auditor Training is required.
  • Experience in third-party auditing is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
  • Effective communication skills in both verbal and written formats.
  • Ability to read and comprehend various technical reports and manuals.
  • Physical capability to perform assessments, including bending, reaching, and climbing.
  • Mobility for travel by car and airplane.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, typically 6 to 8 hours.
  • Exposure to diverse industrial environments.
  • Capability to ascend and descend ladders and other structures.
  • Ability to convey detailed instructions verbally and perceive sounds at normal speaking levels.
  • Ability to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible force frequently.
  • Close visual acuity for tasks such as data analysis, reading, and inspection.
