We are looking for a dedicated Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Manager to lead our safety strategies and policy formulation.
This essential position is responsible for fostering a culture centered on safety throughout our organization, ensuring compliance with all applicable Federal, State, and Local Industrial Standards.
The EHS Manager will not only develop and enforce safety protocols but will also significantly contribute to our strategic business initiatives, particularly regarding environmental, health, and safety issues.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulatory reporting requirements, maintaining adherence to all relevant laws.
- Deliver comprehensive Safety Training programs, promoting a secure working environment for all personnel.
- Design and manage health and safety initiatives that safeguard employees, contractors, and clients.
- Conduct thorough investigations into workplace incidents and injuries, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
- Engage in corporate strategies aimed at reducing accidents and potential liabilities.
- Gather and share safety performance metrics, including incident rates and leading indicators.
- Perform plant audits to identify risks, oversee safety training, and assess personal exposure levels.
- Effectively manage multiple projects, showcasing organizational skills, independence, multitasking capabilities, and measurable outcomes.
- Conduct facility audits to detect and address potential health and safety risks, ensuring the implementation of preventive measures.
- Maintain State Drug-Free Certification and provide training for employees on sustaining a drug-free workplace.
- Lead investigations into near misses and oversee the preparation for investigative processes.
- Chair the Employee Safety Committee to enhance safety awareness among staff members.
- Collaborate with local, state, and federal agencies to ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- 2-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Bachelor's degree is highly preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and Project Management tools.
- Strong team player with excellent interpersonal abilities.
- Capable of performing under pressure and prioritizing tasks with competing deadlines.
- Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
- Outstanding organizational and leadership capabilities.
- Self-driven, accountable, and committed to ongoing personal and professional development.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on achieving exceptional results.
