We are looking for a dedicated Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Manager to lead our organization's safety strategies and policy formulation. This pivotal position is responsible for fostering a culture that prioritizes safety throughout our operations, ensuring compliance with all applicable Federal, State, and Local Industrial Standards.
The EHS Manager will develop and enforce safety protocols while contributing significantly to our strategic business objectives, particularly in the realms of environmental, health, and safety issues.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulatory reporting requirements, maintaining adherence to all relevant laws.
- Deliver comprehensive Safety Training programs to promote a secure working environment for all personnel.
- Design and manage health and safety initiatives that safeguard employees, contractors, and clients.
- Conduct thorough investigations into workplace incidents and injuries, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
- Engage in corporate efforts to reduce accidents and potential liabilities.
- Compile and report on safety performance metrics, including incident rates and leading indicators.
- Perform plant audits to identify risks, manage safety training, and assess personal exposure levels.
- Effectively manage multiple projects, showcasing strong organizational skills, independence, and the ability to multitask.
- Conduct facility audits to detect and address potential health and safety risks, ensuring the implementation of preventative measures.
- Maintain State Drug-Free Certification and provide training for employees on sustaining a drug-free workplace.
- Lead investigations into near misses and prepare for investigative processes.
- Chair the Employee Safety Committee to enhance safety awareness among staff.
- Collaborate with local, state, and federal agencies to ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 2-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Bachelor's degree is highly preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and Project Management tools.
- Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to thrive under pressure and prioritize tasks with competing deadlines.
- Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
- Outstanding organizational and leadership capabilities.
- Self-driven, accountable, and committed to continuous personal and professional development.
- Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to achieving exceptional results.
