CalWest Educators Placement is seeking a dedicated and experienced Primary Education Administrator to lead a dynamic elementary school in the greater East Bay area.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of five years of successful teaching experience at the elementary level, along with a valid single-subject teaching credential.
  • A Master's degree in Education, Administration, Organizational Management, or a related field, along with a California Administrative Service Credential or equivalent certification.
  • At least 3-5 years of significant leadership experience, which may include K-12 school administration, coaching, nonprofit management, or other relevant roles.
  • Exceptional communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills in English.
  • Familiarity with Common Core Standards for grades K-5 and data-driven instructional methodologies.
  • Proficiency in administrative tools such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

  • Provide visionary leadership for the continuous development, enhancement, and assessment of staff, curriculum, instruction, and the utilization of student data.
  • Conduct regular observations of teachers and support staff, offering constructive feedback on instructional practices and identifying areas for growth.
  • Collaborate closely with instructional coaches to enhance the Instructional Team's ability to design and implement high-quality units, including formative and summative assessments, while effectively utilizing student data to inform instruction.
  • Continuously assess and improve the elementary school's Tier One program and its RTI math, English, and special education initiatives to support students requiring additional assistance.
  • Coordinate with the Director of Operations and Assistant Principal to plan and manage the annual schoolwide assessment strategy.
  • Lead the development and execution of the Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP), including progress reporting at select Board and public forums.
  • Collaborate with the middle school principal to ensure alignment of instructional and social-emotional objectives between the elementary and middle school levels.
  • Engage with special education staff and participate in evaluation meetings, IEP meetings, and discipline discussions, while observing special education classroom instruction as necessary.
  • Oversee the hiring, management, and evaluation of elementary school personnel.
  • Develop a site-based three-year strategic plan that aligns with the organization's mission and is consistent with the broader strategic vision.
  • Manage the school budget to ensure effective implementation of the elementary program and alignment with the organization's mission.
  • Facilitate enrollment tours and information sessions, attending enrollment meetings as required.
  • Work in close partnership with the Middle School Principal and Executive Director to ensure cohesive program alignment across both educational levels.
