Job Overview:

The primary objective of this role is to oversee the administrative operations of the Pediatric Residency Program. Reporting to the Program Director (PD) and the Administrative Manager of Graduate Medical Education, the Residency Program Administrator (RPA) is tasked with the daily management of the residency training initiative.

The RPA supports the Program Director in upholding the educational standards of the training program while ensuring adherence to ACGME accreditation guidelines and other regulatory mandates.

This position serves as a crucial link between the Program Director, residents, the Graduate Medical Education office, affiliated training sites, and various departments. A comprehensive understanding of the activities at the different training locations where residents rotate is essential.

Position Qualifications:


Educational Background: An Associate's Degree is required.

Preferred Education:
A Bachelor's degree is favored. Significant professional experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.

Experience Requirements:

A minimum of three years of experience in Graduate Medical Education residency or fellowship programs is necessary.

Certification:

Certified California Notary is required.
Essential Skills and Competencies: + Exceptional oral and written communication abilities, along with a collaborative approach to teamwork, are essential. + The ability to independently manage multiple priorities, solve problems, and complete projects is crucial. + Candidates must demonstrate organization, attention to detail, reliability, and a positive demeanor.

Technical Proficiency:

+ Proficient in PC applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.

  • Familiarity with HITACHI, ECHO Credentialing system, MedHub, UCMe, UMe is advantageous.
    Physical Demands:

Sitting: Up to 8 hours/day; Standing/Walking: 3-6 hours; Bending/Stooping: Up to 3 hours; Reaching: Up to 3 hours; Repetitive Use of Upper Extremities/Grasping: Up to 8 hours; Lifting/Pushing/Pulling: 15 lbs. This role requires the ability to hear alarms, clients, and/or instructions.
