Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Geotechnical Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
  • Planning and executing geotechnical investigations or design activities that significantly influence major company initiatives.
  • Engaging in marketing efforts for both internal and external clients.
  • Coordinating and managing geotechnical investigations for water resources and various projects.
  • Conducting technical analyses, preparing geotechnical reports, and collaborating with designers to implement recommendations.
  • Serving as a Technical Specialist or Project Manager on mid-sized projects as necessary, though project management is not the primary focus of this role.
  • Overseeing a small team of professionals and technicians as required.
  • Performing additional duties as necessary.
Qualifications

Required
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • A minimum of 10 years of professional experience.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, MicroStation, GeoStudios, LPILE, SHAFT, or other relevant software.
  • Demonstrated project engineering and management experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of advanced soil mechanics, embankment design, and familiarity with USACE and DWR guidelines.
  • A commitment to actively participating in our employee-owned culture.
Preferred
  • A Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering.
