Key Responsibilities

The Scheduling Analyst plays a crucial role within the HarmonyCares Medical Group. This position collaborates with market leaders and the Lead Scheduler to formulate strategies and action plans aimed at enhancing patient engagement. The role involves evaluating and implementing scheduling policies and procedures to ensure effective and efficient workflows. The Scheduling Analyst works closely with medical assistants, patient care coordinators, providers, patients, and other supportive roles within the HarmonyCares Medical Group to prioritize patient visits, adhere to provider availability, and manage overall patient census.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop and sustain provider schedules to align with patient needs.
  • Oversee provider census through proactive management of census risks.
  • Manage market census to ensure appropriate patient visits based on HarmonyCares risk tiering and inactivation processes.
  • Collaborate with local leadership to optimize the scheduling system and ensure effective communication of patient requests.
  • Maintain relationships and effectively communicate HarmonyCares services to patients and their families.
  • Facilitate effective scheduling through placing and receiving phone calls.
  • Address scheduling concerns and issues, both internally and externally.
  • Comply with patient confidentiality policies and procedures.
  • Participate in required meetings and training sessions.
  • Collaborate with managers, colleagues, and other HarmonyCares staff.
  • Perform additional duties as necessary.
Qualifications

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of college education, and/or equivalent experience
  • At least 2 years of experience in a healthcare-related field
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities
  • Ability to swiftly resolve complex, real-time issues
  • Solid understanding of medical terminology, conditions, illnesses, and treatment practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Logical thinking and sequential processing with a high level of accuracy and efficiency.
  • Intermediate proficiency in computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
