HOURS: Full-time, Monday to Friday, with flexible scheduling options.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assess member eligibility for services
  • Handle patient referrals efficiently
  • Communicate and clarify benefit details to members and healthcare providers
  • Secure necessary authorizations from the health plan
  • Coordinate appointment scheduling based on member requests
  • Respond to inquiries from members and providers regarding case progress
  • Utilize telecommunication systems to manage and redirect calls appropriately
  • Collaborate with specialists and patients to arrange appointments
  • Act as the main contact for providers or members concerning medical, behavioral, or clinical services
  • Review and process fax requests for medical or clinical services
  • Handle incoming calls for medical, behavioral, or clinical service inquiries
  • Process electronic referral requests for medical or clinical services

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience with healthcare electronic medical records (EMR) is essential
  • Ability to navigate various computer platforms to retrieve information
  • Basic understanding of the patient referral process is advantageous, but training will be provided.
