Our team comprises over 130 optometrists, ophthalmologists, surgeons, opticians, and eye care professionals, collectively serving a vast number of patients across multiple locations. From routine eye examinations and optical retail to medical optometry, ophthalmology, and surgical interventions, our patients receive thorough and personalized care.

Responsibilities:

The Patient Services Coordinator will deliver outstanding customer service to patients, colleagues, and referral sources by managing and coordinating the front office operations. Key responsibilities include overseeing all facets of clinic administrative functions, such as scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, and managing payment authorizations. You will ensure efficient cash collection through effective reimbursement practices while adhering to relevant laws, regulations, and established company policies.

Key Duties:

  • Assist patients by scheduling appointments, maintaining electronic medical records, and welcoming them upon arrival.
  • Keep patient schedules on track by confirming eligibility, initiating prior authorizations, and informing staff of patient arrivals.
  • Enhance patient comfort by anticipating their needs, addressing inquiries, maintaining a tidy reception area, and managing inventory of essential supplies.
  • Ensure access to treatment information by efficiently handling patient records and correspondence.
  • Maintain patient accounts by collecting, recording, and updating insurance and personal financial details.
  • Safeguard patient rights by ensuring confidentiality of personal and financial data.
  • Support operations by adhering to established processes and reporting necessary changes.
  • Receive deliveries and direct them to the appropriate departments as needed.
  • Handle incoming calls professionally.
  • Contribute to team objectives by completing related tasks as required.
  • Review patient charts and communicate with providers to verify orders as necessary.
  • Be flexible to work at various facilities within the market as required.
Qualifications:
  • 2-3 years of clerical or reception experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMR).
  • Typing proficiency of 40 to 50 words per minute.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
Skills and Abilities:
  • Proficient in standard office software applications (Outlook, Microsoft Office).
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
