Job Summary

The Float Health Assistant II provides clinical and administrative support to the Internal Medicine and Urgent Care departments. This role requires a strong understanding of healthcare operations and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare examination rooms and maintain a clean and organized environment
  • Perform EKGs and waived testing as needed
  • Assist clinicians with examinations and minor procedures
  • Provide patient instruction and education on test preparation and procedures
  • Collect and record payments and maintain accurate records
  • Schedule patient appointments and manage the appointment system
  • Communicate effectively with patients, clinicians, and other staff members
Requirements
  • Graduate of a medical and/or nursing assistant program
  • Two years of patient service experience
  • Administrative experience in a healthcare environment
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
Working Conditions

This position is based on-campus, in Massachusetts. Travel may be required.
