Job Summary

Atrius Health is seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant II to provide clinical support to our healthcare team. As a Medical Assistant II, you will be responsible for performing expanded and advanced level medical assistant duties, including identifying and resolving concerns regarding patient satisfaction, patient flow, and compliance with procedures and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct clinical support to one or more clinicians
  • Identify and resolve concerns regarding patient satisfaction, patient flow, and compliance with procedures and guidelines
  • Work to improve clinical efficiencies of the operation by determining urgency and priority of walk-ins, add-on patients, and patient consults
  • Provide back-up coverage for support staff
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalency certificate (e.g. GED, HiSET, TASC Test) from an accredited institution or governmental unit or a Medical Assistant Certification required
  • Associate's degree in medical assisting or graduate of medical assistant certification program preferred
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) strongly preferred
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience acquired through three years in a clinical setting with at least one as a Medical Assistant
  • Computer experience required with the ability to use word processing and spreadsheet programs
  • Electronic medical record (EMR) experience and/or aptitude to master the EMR based on other technology experience required
