ROLE OVERVIEW


As the Events and Sales Manager, you will take charge of the events team, with a strong emphasis on driving new business opportunities.

Your responsibilities will encompass the following:

  • Foster a collaborative team environment through effective communication and teamwork.
  • Ensure exceptional client service by facilitating communication within the team, cross-training, and maintaining adequate office coverage.
  • Collaborate with sales personnel to ensure a clear understanding of the sales strategy and its effective execution.
  • Work alongside the management team to develop and implement a sales plan that targets revenue, guest satisfaction, and market positioning.
  • Exemplify professionalism and a friendly demeanor towards clients and colleagues, ensuring timely responses to their needs.
  • Adhere to and monitor company cross-selling procedures.
  • Utilize the company’s profile database to identify geographic areas for outreach while nurturing existing travel agent relationships.
  • Assist in the creation and execution of promotional initiatives, both internally and externally.
  • Participate in monthly sales strategy meetings and revenue discussions as necessary.
  • Review and authorize any special corporate negotiated rates by co-signing the Corporate Rate agreements.
  • Lead on-property sales activities to cultivate long-term, value-driven customer relationships that support the hotel’s sales objectives.
  • Recommend monthly room night targets for sales team members.
  • Engage in sales calls with team members to secure new business and finalize existing opportunities.
