KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Sector Coordinator at Boston Consulting Group within the Principal Investors & Private Equity Practice Area (PIPE PA), you will be instrumental in delivering support and managing administrative functions within the global practice management and operations team (PA M&O). Your role will involve collaborating with Sector Senior Managers in Private Equity and Tech Capital on various business development, operational, and marketing initiatives. You will also engage with other members of the PA M&O team and coordinate with various BCG departments as necessary (e.g., Marketing, Human Resources, Finance, Knowledge).

Business Development & Reporting:
  • Collaborate closely with Sector Senior Managers to compile regular business updates and conduct detailed sector analyses for internal global and regional meetings.
  • Assist in ongoing reporting tasks, including sector momentum reporting, case openings, and other ad-hoc financial reporting duties.
  • Support the tracking of Go-to-Market activities, including opportunity collection and key wins reporting utilizing BCG standardized dashboards and trackers.
  • Facilitate various business development processes and initiatives.
  • Assist in organizing internal affiliation events and activities, including meetings and calls, while managing affiliation updates in collaboration with the PA People team.
Sector Communications & Marketing:
  • Play a vital role in crafting internal communications for the sector, identifying relevant content across the sector's commercial, marketing, and personnel agendas, and coordinating with PA management and operations team members.
  • Support the development of the sector marketing plan, including thought leadership content, coordination of conferences, and other sector-related events.
  • Assist in data collection and cleansing efforts by leveraging BCG's customer relationship management system.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree with relevant professional experience.
  • Ability to manage defined PA processes or smaller projects with minimal supervision.
  • Proficiency in Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Capacity to make independent decisions within established guidelines.
  • Exceptional organizational, planning, and project management capabilities; adept at conceptualization, follow-through, ownership, and accountability.
  • Strong analytical skills for business reporting tasks and a structured approach to problem-solving.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage with internal and external stakeholders while working in a global collaborative environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Professional, service-oriented, proactive, and adaptable attitude.
You will collaborate closely with the Sector Senior Managers for Tech Capital and Private Equity sectors, as well as other members of the PA Management & Operations team. Building an internal global network with team members from Knowledge Teams and other Practice Areas and Business Functions will also be essential.
