ROLE OVERVIEW


As the Events Coordination Manager, you will oversee and lead the events team with a primary emphasis on securing new business opportunities.

Your responsibilities will encompass, but are not limited to:

  • Fostering a collaborative team environment through effective communication among colleagues.
  • Ensuring exceptional client service is provided through team communication, cross-training within the department, and adequate office coverage.
  • Collaborating with sales personnel to ensure comprehension of sales strategies and their effective execution for the segment.
  • Partnering with the management team to develop and implement a sales plan that addresses revenue, guest satisfaction, and market positioning for the segment, guided by the Director of Sales and Marketing.
  • Setting a professional example through a friendly demeanor towards clients and colleagues, timely responses to inquiries, and adherence to sales office standards.
  • Adhering to and monitoring company cross-sell procedures.
  • Utilizing the company profile database to identify geographic areas for outreach to travel agents while maintaining relationships with existing accounts.
  • Assisting in the creation and execution of promotional activities, both internally and externally.
  • Participating in monthly sales strategy meetings and revenue discussions, as well as other necessary internal meetings.
  • Reviewing and approving special corporate negotiated rates by signing Corporate Rate agreements.
  • Leading on-property sales initiatives to cultivate long-term, value-based customer relationships that support the achievement of hotel sales objectives.
  • Recommending monthly room night targets for sales team members.
  • Engaging in sales calls with team members to acquire new business and finalize deals.
