ROLE OVERVIEW
As a Sector Coordinator within the Boston Consulting Group's Principal Investors & Private Equity Practice Area (PIPE PA), you will be instrumental in delivering support and managing administrative functions within the global practice management and operations team (PA M&O). Your role will involve collaborating with Sector Senior Managers in Private Equity and Tech Capital on various business development, operational, and marketing initiatives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Business Development & Reporting:
  • Collaborate closely with Sector Senior Managers to generate regular business updates and provide comprehensive sector analysis for internal global and regional discussions.
  • Assist in routine reporting tasks, including sector momentum updates, case openings, and other ad-hoc financial reporting responsibilities.
  • Track Go-to-Market activities, including opportunity collection and key wins reporting using standardized dashboards and trackers.
  • Support diverse business development processes and initiatives.
  • Facilitate internal affiliation events and activities, including meetings and calls, while coordinating updates with the PA People team.
Sector Communications & Marketing:
  • Contribute significantly to the preparation of internal communications for the sector, identifying relevant content across commercial, marketing, and people agendas, and coordinating with PA management and operations team members.
  • Assist in the sector marketing strategy, including thought leadership content, coordination of conferences, and other sector-related events.
  • Support data collection and organization efforts by utilizing BCG's customer relationship management system.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
  • A Bachelor's degree with relevant professional experience.
  • Ability to manage defined PA processes or smaller projects with minimal supervision.
  • Proficiency in Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Capacity to make independent decisions within established guidelines.
  • Exceptional organizational, planning, and project management skills; adept at conceptualization, follow-through, ownership, and accountability.
  • Strong analytical skills for business reporting tasks and a structured approach to problem-solving.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage with internal and external stakeholders while working in a global collaborative environment.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.
  • A professional, service-oriented, proactive, and adaptable attitude.
You will collaborate closely with Sector Senior Managers for Tech Capital and Private Equity sectors, as well as other members of the PA Management & Operations team, while building a global internal network with team members from Knowledge Teams and other Practice Areas and Business Functions.
