Job Summary

J. Gibson McIlvain Company is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Representative to join our team. As a Sales Representative, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with new and current clients, supporting an assigned outside sales team, and responding to inbound calls and Web RFQ's from existing and new customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Relationship Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with new and current clients to drive sales growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Inside Sales Support: Provide support to the outside sales team by responding to inbound calls and Web RFQ's, and assisting with sales-related tasks.
  • Sales Order Management: Post sales orders to Epicor Lumber Track Software and communicate with customers regarding sales order and RFQ information.
  • Credit Management: Work closely with the Credit Manager to establish credit terms for new and existing customers, and coordinate with the Shipping Department and Lumber Mill to approve shipments based on credit terms.
  • Customer Communication: Communicate with customers to discuss credit balances and arrange payments and credit terms.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 2+ years of inside sales experience, preferably in the lumber industry, with a software system like Epicor's Lumber Track.
  • Skills: Excellent math skills, excellent oral and written communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and ability to learn different software programs.
  • Travel: Ability to travel 25% of the time.
