Job Summary

We're seeking a skilled Traffic Engineer to join our team. As a Traffic Engineer, you'll play a critical role in designing and implementing transportation solutions that improve the safety and efficiency of our roads. You'll work closely with our project managers and other engineers to develop and implement traffic signal design plans, illumination and ITS PS&E packages, and other transportation projects.

Responsibilities
  • Perform complex traffic engineering projects, exercising sound engineering judgment and preparing traffic signal design plans, illumination and ITS PS&E packages.
  • Function as a technical specialist or assist the project manager on projects, but project management is not the sole focus of this position.
  • Supervise small staff of professionals and EITs as needed.
  • Perform other duties as needed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Experience with traffic analysis and traffic engineering/design.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Detailed hands-on experience conducting traffic design using CAD platforms, including MicroStation, Autocad, and Guide Sign software.
  • Detailed hands-on experience conducting operational analysis using a variety of analysis and modeling tools, including HCS, Synchro, VISSIM, and Aimsun.
  • Detailed hands-on experience conducting safety analysis using a variety of safety software tools, including Highway Safety Software.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, Word.
  • Strong verbal and written skills.
