Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Transportation Engineer with expertise in civil and traffic engineering to contribute to innovative transportation design and planning initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leverage your knowledge in civil, transportation, and traffic engineering to formulate effective transportation design and planning strategies.
  • Oversee the design of traffic engineering projects, including the preparation of traffic studies, signal timing plans, and comprehensive technical reports.
  • Develop project plans and detailed drawings for a variety of initiatives, particularly in traffic signal design.
  • Conduct thorough transportation analyses and work collaboratively within a project team environment.
  • Manage project budgets and timelines efficiently.
Required Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's degree in civil or transportation engineering is mandatory.
  • Possession of a Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in Texas or the capability to secure it within one year is essential.
  • A minimum of 3-4 years of relevant experience is required.
  • Proficiency in software tools such as MicroStation, AutoCAD, Synchro, VISSIM, and TRANSCAD is necessary.
  • Familiarity with the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD), Highway Capacity Manual (HCM), and AASHTO Geometric Design standards is expected.
  • Knowledge of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) applications and design is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication, technical writing, time management, and problem-solving abilities are crucial.
